Kyosemi Corporation will continue to pioneer optoelectronic technology
The 21st century is not only characterized by world-changing information technology, for it is also referred to as the century of the environment. Optoelectronic technology applications are expected to help build a brighter future through their use in high-speed and high-capacity communications, cutting-edge factory automation, and environmentally friendly photovoltaic power generation.
Kyosemi Corporation has been operating as an R&D-oriented company committed to assisting the progress of leading-edge industries with optoelectronic technology since its establishment in 1980. We now run businesses in the fields of "opto semiconductor devices" and "photovoltaic power generation". The latest needs are being met by the commercialization of optical communication devices, photodevices for sensors and spherical micro solar cells (registered as Sphelar®).
In the field of optical communications, we will accelerate the supply of products to the expanding Fiber To The Home (FTTH) segment, and in the field of photodevices for sensors, we will accurately meet the needs of various industrial sectors in an effort to adapt ourselves to the diversity of the market. In the field of photovoltaic power generation, we will promote the development of applications taking advantage of the characteristics of Sphelar® in the ubiquitous networking and mobile markets.
However, Kyosemi Corporation' s efforts are not limited to growing in these two business fields. We have already defined our vision for the next phase based on a desire to consistently challenge and adapt in manufacturing products unique to Kyosemi Corporation, and fusing together the three fields of optoelectronic technology applications, i.e., optical communications, photodevices for optical and opto sensors, and photovoltaic power generation. In addition, we are eager to develop products that will truly be appreciated by customers and contribute to social progress, while fulfilling our corporate social responsibility (CSR).
