Kyosemi Opto America Corporation was established on October1, 2005.

We are pleased to announce that Kyosemi Opto America Corporation was established as a fully owned subsidiary sales company of Kyosemi Corporation in Santa Clara, California, U.S.A., effectively on October 1, 2005.　Through the establishment of this new company, Kyosemi will start to provide North America customers with its entire portfolio of products and world-class customer-first services such as customer-tailored products, quick turn-around responses.
New products introduction will be accelerated for opto communication customers.
On top of opto communication products that are currently available to North America customers, Kyosemi will start to provide competitive optical sensing and control products such as high sensitivity silicon avalanche photodiodes as well as custom-designed optical sensors.
To serve emerging markets in new generations of infra-red ray communication and renewable energy application, its original spherical photovoltaic solar cells(Sphelar®) will be added which are ready to answer a variety of requirements on portability, configurability to newly designed electronic products, flexible shapes, being 'see-through', wide-range combination of wattage and voltage, etc. Radiation sensors, electric/magnetic field sensors and UV sensors will be also introduced.
